It probably won't be able to handle massive programs, but for teaching yourself the ropes of C or C++ it's a quick, easy and free way to get started.
TURBO C++ 3.0 CODE
Although the graphics interface is primitive by today's standards, Turbo C is still perfectly adequate for the development of applications and compilation of the code to obtain executable files. Sadly, by the mid-nineties Turbo C had been generally abandoned in favour of compilers with a more modern interface and functionality. Although other versions followed, Turbo 3.0 was almost universally considered to be the most stable - always an important consideration when programming!
TURBO C++ 3.0 WINDOWS
Version 3.0, with Windows compatibility, was released in 1991. Turbo C, followed by Turbo C++, was a popular compiler in the late eighties and early nineties. "We can't do nothing and think someone else will make it right.Before the fancy flashy user interfaces and programming tools of the modern day, compilers like Turbo C 3.0 were the best way to develop your applications, and the program is not without its uses today. And as AsmGuru said, you can use much more than 64k. What you have is not considered a large array.
TURBO C++ 3.0 HOW TO
: Thanks a lot for answering I a making my program in graphics mode and have incorporated scrolling through the keyboard.But now new problems have arisen Now my program has become very large (2900 lines) and am worrying about memory troubles is it true that you can use only 64K of memory what if I need more memory to store values for my variables as I a using a large "double array (it has 75 rows and 4 colunms)" I have heard about EMS but don't know how to use it please helpħ5*4*sizeof(double)=2400 bytes. And then, of course write a huge pile of code to draw/react on scrollbars. You have to decide for DOS what screen mode you going to use? Graphics or text. : : In DOS - there is no such thing as a scrollbar. For Windows you hav already scrollbars and you just have to respond to notification messages from these bars. : : Strange question - are you doing your table object for DOS or for Windows? Because it is completely different applications. : : : : Tell me how to make both in windows and DOS, actually I am making a simpler sort of table as there is in excel through C but now the rows have become very large and thus the program requires scrolling. : : : : First of all - where do you wanna do it? Windows? DOS? Text mode? If it is possible then please tell me the topics I need to learn for this. : : : : : Is it possible to make mouse controlled scroll bars in c.I am using Turbo C++ 3.0.
